Lafup is a versatile and eloquent artiste with a glaring bias for stand-up
comedy. He runs an event-consulting outfit 'LAFUP ENTERTAINMENT and he is the
founder and president of COMEDY FOR CHANGE, A social enterprise concern with
channeling humour towards change, education and charity. Currently Lafup is the
producer of the biggest and most consistent family comedy show LAFUPLIVE in
South West Nigeria (Ibadan). The show has recorded over 10 editions in Just
9years of professional/college comedy with each edition always sold-out. The
most recent is his Boxing Day Edition (2013) where for the first time ever, Lafup
introduced two shows in a day and could still not accommodate everyone who hope
to see the show. His shows has played host to the biggest names in comedy,
business and in Politics. Lafup co-anchors a daily radio comedy show with Ali

soon as well as his American Tour. The comedian and compere 'Lafup' graduated
from The University of Ibadan with a B.A and MA
in Theatre Arts a very rear record in the comedy industry.
He was deployed to
Abia State, southeastern Nigeria for a one-year National Youth service scheme
where he worked with the theatre and arts culture office of the state’s
ministry of information.
As a thriving
actor, Segun has had an active career that has spanned through almost a decade.
Right from his humble days of children's repertoire till this very moment, he
remains a professional to the core, with an infusion of talent and passion. He
is the quintessential actor whose skills have been horned by Nigeria's finest
theatre veterans like; Dapo Adelugba,
Femi Osofisan, Tunde Awosanmi, Wole Oguntokun and others.
He has
successfully co-produced Arthur Fuggard's South African anti-apartheid play
"Sizwe Bansi is Dead"
from 2004. This would be its 7th year of been a successful Nigerian travelling
theatre play production. Leaving trails behind in places like Terra Kulture, Efua Studio- Ghana, British
International School, Atlantic Hall Epe, and a host
of others.
Lafup’s spontaneity and logical wit on world topical issues such as politics,
religion, social vices, love and family has given him an edge among his
contemporaries in the fast growing comedy circuit in Nigeria – he has ‘wowed’
and still ‘wows’ fans and clients at corporate events, social functions, shows
and other stage performances. Little wonder the new comedy sensation Lafup wowed
all his fan in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston in his recent pre-tour visit to
America in October 2013. Lafup fluently
speaks English, Yoruba, Pidgin-English and would always be at home with Ijebu
