LAFUP COMEDIAN'S TRIBUTE TO BABA SALA

Moses Olaiya Adejumo...Baba Sala
Baba Sala is gone! From the shanty town of Agbowo-Ibadan, through the royal capes of Oyo, Ijesha and to the coast of Lagos, Moses Olaiya  Adejumo popularly know as Baba Sala entertained generations even before the Nigerian independence. The Grandfather of Nigerian comedy and arguably our own Moliere is gone. Nigeria has clearly lost a legend and an iconic son who has brought us all nothing but joy and laughter . Your legacy lives on as we also won’t forget that the King of Juju music played in your band as a lead guitarist. The humor merchant, comedy pioneer and one of the very illustrious sons of Ibadan, originally from Ilesha but your foot-prints is so inscribed in the heart of my people of Ibadan. Agbowo-Ibadan will never forget how she played host to your hay days of repertoire and original comedies which broke box offices around Nigeria from mega cities to remote villages. Say me well to my father when you get there he was such a big fan, he has some boring jokes to tell you LOL. Say hi to your friend and colleague Ade Love. Salute, the fathers of theatre Ogunde, Duro and Ogunmola. Tell Faleti we miss him too. Let Gani know, as it was in your time through Ali till Ayo Makuns , pirates still rip us off... Orun si mooru o. Inform Adeboye , Lai’si as been revamped and he’s now on social media. Whisper to CD John, Kenny Blaq now holds the ace. Let Fela know Buhari is still in Government, Pls make sure there are people to hold him before you tell him such.
A peaceful rest our our Moses, farewell to your promised land... I hope it’s not as sweaty as you had said. Nigeria especially today’s comic greats owe it to honor you as Africa’s comic avante garde ever know. Rest In Peace Baba Sala.
